International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day can change your life.

People affected by suicide loss will gather around the world, on November 22, 2025 at events in their local communities to find comfort and gain understanding as they share stories of healing and hope.

My name is Debbie Baird and I'm a Loss Survivor. I lost my son Matthew to suicide in January of 2009, and my world turned upside down with this tragedy. The loss was unbearable.

I knew not long after Matthew's death I needed to get help and to be with those that understood exactly what I was going through. After regularly attending a local Survivors of Suicide Loss group, I quickly learned of the Survivors of Suicide Loss Day, held every year the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

I attended my first International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day event in 2010 and have gone every year since. In fact I now help host our local event in Concord, NH.

For many loss survivors, attending a Survivors' Day event is the first time they realize they are not alone. Just hearing the stories from people at all stages of healing can be helpful. The gathering also provides participants with a chance to share their stories with those who understand firsthand the challenges of living in the aftermath of suicide.

You may contact the event sites nearest to you here in NH and register to attend. It is open for all loss survivors 18 years and older. See attached flyer for more information.

Healing and hope is a long journey for loss survivors; however, events such as the International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day gives comfort and the understanding that we are not alone.
